Incapacity payments are financial payments made to veterans who are unable to work or have reduced work capacity due to a service-related injury or illness. These payments are designed to replace lost income and support your transition back to work if and when you’re ready.

Eligibility
You may be eligible for Incapacity Payments if you:
- Have a DVA-accepted service-related injury or illness
- Are unable to work at full capacity or cannot work at all
- Are under 65 years old
- Are participating (or willing to participate) in rehabilitation and case management through DVA
